David Sutherland's Country Boys

After years of preparation, hundreds of DAT transfers and a complete summer and fall of audio mix, David Sutherland Productions' latest film, Country Boys aired in January 2006 to impressive reviews. The six hour documentary, which traces three years in the lives of two troubled Appalachian teenage boys, was mixed in its entirety at Mix One Studios with Jim Sullivan. Portraitist David Sutherland directed this ambitious seven year project, co-produced with WGBH Boston's Frontline series in association with ITVS.
