David Porter

David is one of those guys who has boundless energy and enthusiasm for what he does, whatever that might be. He is a lot of things to Mix One, including partner, producer, engineer, composer, cheerleader, sales guy, painter, and the guy who buys the beer on Fridays – like all of us, he wears many hats.

Dave’s background includes everything from a Berklee College of Music education – seemingly a requirement for us here at Mix One – to rock bands (lots of rock bands) – a short career as a dancer, sales at various high-end pro audio and music stores in Boston and NY, bartender, hospital administrator, car stereo installer, and even an onscreen role in a John Sayles film.

Dave has worked with many A-list musicians over the years, including Art Garfunkel, Nona Hendryx, Rick Derringer and our own boys from Boston, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith. He’s known in the ad world as well, counting agencies like Gearon Hoffman, Hill Holliday, Partners + simons and Christopher Thomas/KPC among his regulars over the years. Film and programming clients include Warner Brothers, Universal, UPN, HBO Films and PBS, and production houses like 180, Viewpoint Creative and Broad Street Productions.

In has spare time (what spare time?), David plays guitar in at least two different bands, plays basketball year-round, golfs with his kids, and spends his spare time in the summer at the beach on the Cape with his family.
