As a new dad, Ted knows all about sleep deprivation. He also knows about cool toys, loud noise and temper tantrums – but then, he’s been a music producer and engineer for a while now, so he should be more than well-prepared for fatherhood.
Ted got his start in Boston at the Berklee College of Music, like most of the rest us here. Along the way, he got into the local band scene, doing live sound for groups like Powerman 5000, along with the occasional demo session. Upon graduation, he landed a job as a staff engineer and started doing bigger sessions, with a client list that reads like a “who’s-who” list of the music world. Outside of the album work, Ted has also engineered some film scoring sessions, including “The Opposite of Sex” and “Prefontaine”, as well as a number of local and national television and radio jingles.
Apart from dad patrol, you might find Ted gigging with his band “The Risk”, as well as anxiously waiting for his son to become mobile and coordinated enough to go snowboarding with him.
Here are just a few of the clients Ted has worked with over the years:
| Nine Inch Nails Duran Duran Run DMC Erika Badu Toots And The Maytalls The Sheila Divine The Boston Symphony Orchestra Todd Thibault Martin Sexton Marilyn Manson |
